Privacy Policy

Your journal is yours. We collect only what we need to run Tend, we never sell your data, and we never show you ads. Your entries are stored securely and are never used to train AI models or shared with third parties.

• Account information — your email address or phone number, used only to sign you in.

• Journal entries — your check-ins, mood selections, gratitude notes, highlights, and lessons.

• Profile settings — display name, timezone, language, and reminder preferences.

• Usage data — basic server logs (request timestamps, response codes) retained for up to 30 days for debugging.

We do not collect advertising identifiers, sell data to brokers, or run third-party analytics scripts.

• To store and retrieve your journal entries.

• To send daily check-in reminders, if you enable them.

• To generate your weekly insights summary, if you enable it.

We never use your journal content to train machine learning models.

If you sign in with a phone number, Tend sends a one-time verification code to that number. You initiate this — we never send unsolicited texts. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of further messages. See our proof of consent page for the full opt-in flow.

Your data is stored on Supabase, a managed Postgres platform hosted on AWS in the United States. Supabase encrypts data at rest and in transit.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data — entries, photos, settings, push subscriptions — email us at hello@tendjournal.app. We will complete deletion within 30 days.

You may request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Tend after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
